Guest Speaker at Blogger’s Buff 2008

It was an honour to be invited to be a guest speaker among others at the Blogger’s Buff 2008 event; for being recognised as a consistent blogger who lives in the rut of my blogsite – Mini Bites – on a daily basis. Guess being a blogger addict has its silver lining afterall.

Bloggers Buff was mooted to be a stepping stone to get Malaysian bloggers from various genres together in a day to open up their minds towards different aspects of blogging and to comment on issues that affect bloggers in the country. Its successful event in 2007 was graced by Kenny Sia and Yvonne Foong, celebrity bloggers in Malaysia whom have more than hundreds of hits per day. In 2008, Tun Dr. Mahathir Mohammad was the key speaker to share about Blogging Realities – followed by a group of humble bloggers like myself who shared about ‘So You Want To Blog?’

I was honoured to be speaking to the small crowd who participated and truly enjoyed myself sharing about the fundamentals of blogging. It was like a walk down memory lane as I shared about the bittersweet of my blogging journey  – the good and bad, the troubles I got into for blogging, etc. Here’s an extract of my blogger profile published for this event.

Blogger since : 2002
Crazy about : Creative writing
Dreams : To be a recognised Novelist

An ordinary girl with an extraordinary passion for writing, Cmate started blogging in 2002 when she got bored of reading her friends’ online diaries. She started off with boring daily ramblings but later realised the potential of the blogsphere as her writing vessel. While sharing her writings (poems, short stories and articles) with friends and family through blogging has been satisfying, nothing could compare to the feedback/email she receives from random strangers whom happen to stumble into her blog. She may appear to be a committed blogger, having updating her blog (almost) every day. But in actual fact, she is just a writer who loves to write for those who are willingly to read.
