Cafe World – Tips on How to Level Up

Submitted by on October 9, 2009 – 00:532 Comments

“Cooking up fortunes for your Cafe World!”

One of my favourite game on Facebook is Restaurant City, of which I have written some tips on how to excel in the game based on my own experience. And all the tips which I have given are in no way a cheating method to be at the top of the game among friends and family. I dislike cheats when it comes to gaming; it just spoils the fun and lower the satisfaction at the end of the day. So if you are looking for some genuine tips on how to play games and play them well, then you’d love some of the tips I have to share… this time on Cafe World.

What’s Cafe World all about? Cafe World is a new Facebook game that allows you to own a virtual cafe and run it like you would your dream cafe. If you are a fan of Restaurant City, Cafe World just might be your cup of tea because this game lets you hire your friends as waiters to serve customers, visit their cafes to gain points and money, and customise your characters as well. The only difference is you don’t have to feed your workers in Cafe World, you just have to take care of the hungry customers. And the food cooking on the stove, of course! And here’s how you can do both these actions well.

Plan your online time ahead so that you can strategise your servings and earn more! What do I mean by that? Food that takes longer time to cook earns you more than food that cooks in short time. For example, it takes 5 minutes to cook a Bacon Cheeseburger for only 3 CPs (Cafe Points) while a Homestyle Pot Roasts earns you 60CPs because it takes you 2 days to cook it. So if you know how long you will be away till you log in to your cafe the next time, you can choose a recipe that takes the same amount of time to cook before closing the game so that the next time you play the game, the food is ready to be served. Be careful though – if you forget about the food cooking and it’s on the stove longer than it is supposed to be, the food will go rotten and you’ll have to start cooking all over again while losing the money you spent on cooking it on the first place.

Gain experience quickly by cooking as many times as possible. And the most effective dish to begin with is the Bacon Cheeseburger because it takes only 5 minutes to cook. The faster the food can be cooked, the more times you can cook it. Each time you finish cooking a batch, your game experience increases.

Keep your cafe rating at the top even when you’re not playing. When you’re not performing, you are not maintaining your cafe ratings. So the clever thing to do is to close the cafe when you are not playing so that your cafe rating is not affected. Unlike Restaurant City, closing your cafe in Cafe World is not as simple as placing a blocking the entrance. You’ll have to remove the doors before you quit the game. That way, your cafe will be closed when you are offline and your rating will not drop. And customers will not be upset with you. Just remember to place the door back where you want it to be when you log in to play again. You can also close your cafe when you run out of food to serve.

Serve faster, better and magically. Everything is almost magical in Cafe World. If you block the walking paths from the serving counters to the tables, your waiter will magically teleport the food to the customers. It’s almost like Harry Potter. The moment your customers sit down, the food will magically appear. The same goes to the chef. If your chef does not have access to the serving counter, the food will be magically teleported to the serving counter when you click the oven. Saves time, minimises energy and maximises productivity – your cafe will be famous in no time!

Keeping customers happy and satisfied. It’s the same method used in Restaurant City; Just make sure you use dividers and other objects to slow down their walk to the table so that you will have more time to prepare the food and serve more customers. As long as food is served when they are seated, they will be happy customers. And happy customers mean higher cafe rating. Higher rating means more customers and more food to be served, and more money to earn. Don’t let them leave without eating – this will pull down your rating.

Make friends and family happy while earning more. Go visit your neighbours in Cafe World, have a meal in their cafes and earn more while you do. The more you visit your neighbours, the more regular they will visit you. And both of you earn more CPs for visiting each other with a couple of clicks. The simplest way to be one step closer to leveling up to the next level. Sometimes a message will pop up while you are playing that asks if you would like to help out a neighbour. Being a friendly neighbour in Cafe World does help you to be more successful in the game. So be nice.

Using gifts from others to earn more money. Sometimes your neighbours give you gifts in the game. These gifts can be used on your customers to earn more money. Use it only when all the seats in the cafe are occupied so that you can gain the most out of the gifts. Depending on the gifts used, you will earn different range of money from each customer in your cafe. For example, if you are using the gift – Cappucino – you will earn 5coins from each customer in your cafe. Keep in mind that you cannot use more than one gift on the same customer at one time.

Faster game speed for faster gain. It’s the same trick I use for Restaurant City. Make sure you set the toggle quality to low when you are in the game so that the customers, chefs and waiters can move faster. Thus, you’ll earn more and be more productive in the game.

Oh, by the way, just in case you have yet to discover this: You can change the name of your cafe by clicking on the cafe’s name on the top right corner of your game screen. I love to customise my cafe, both in terms of interior and displayed name. I’m sure you’d love to customise them too.

So there you go! I hope that you have gained some insights from these tips on how to level up and be a top player in Cafe World. And if you have some tips of your own to share, leave a comment so that everyone else can learn something new too. Have fun cooking, Cafe Owners!
