I don't sit around and wait for things to happen anymore. If I want people to treat me a certain way, I'll first treat them the way I would want them to treat me. And understanding really helps. I've learnt not to blame but take responsibility of my actions. What I did or say, what I didn't do or didn't say directly or indirectly affects the way that person treats me. So I would initiate something and ask for a response. If the person doesn't respond even after you have made a lot of effort in communicating with him/her, you would then know that this person is not worthy enough to be your friend.
