Free Vector: Man in Facial Mask

Submitted by on October 11, 2009 – 00:232 Comments

I have this project at work that involves creating a set of printed materials such as posters, buntings and flyers to send out the message – Preventing Influenza A(H1N1) In Our Community. It sounds like an easy task because if you Google for likewise posters, you’ll be able to find a wide range of posters out there sending out similar messages. The challenge here is to ensure the artwork is both attractive and effective with no budget for photography or image purchases. So either I look around the office for a willing volunteer be the subject of my concept, or I’ll have to draw.

I was surprised when people shy away at the request of snapping a photo of them wearing facial mask at work. They believe it would make them appear sick and unapproachable. Then there were those who didn’t want others to recognise them in the photos taken. Needing a photo of a man wearing a facial mask has suddenly became the most challenging task in this project. And I haven’t even requested for people to sneeze with a tissue covering their nose. So I tried drawing one, and attached a funny line on it while I was having fun sketching.
