Movie Review: Anna Magdalena

A beautiful love song – that’s Anna Magdalena when J. S. Bach presented the love song to his lover on the piano. A beautiful melody that keeps your heart humming even though the pianist has stopped playing since yesterday. And the same impact can be said of this Chinese movie - Anna Magdalena.

Presented in four different chapters that can be watched separately or as one, Anna Madgalena is a sweet love story featuring a shy boy who has fallen in love with his neighbour and a womaniser who simply couldn’t be bothered with life… until he too falls in love with the same girl. The three of them live in the same apartment building causing a whole chain of emotions trigger as different personality reacts differently to this thing called love.

A simple story, an easy presentation, a powerful love message. If you love something slow and steady, this is the movie to go for!
