Tutorial: How to use EBuzzzz Email Marketing (Preparing Your Database For Email Blast)

Submitted by on July 20, 2010 – 11:087 Comments

I’ve just finished my communication role in a nationwide running event known as Run For The Nation. And one of the communication tools I’ve used to communication with more than 1,000 runners is an email marketing platform known as Exabytes EBuzzzz Email Marketing. No doubt that email marketing is becoming more and more popular in this modern business world – it’s affordable, flexible and has a global reach. And it was the best way for me to blast out emails to 1,000 runners when I have an announcement to make or even sending out latest news about the running event.

Since my role in Run For The Nation has come to an end, time to train up the management team on how to send out their emails. So I’ve prepared a tutorial for them on how to use the Exabytes EBuzzzz Email Marketing platform, which I think would benefit all of you out there who intends to use the same service as well. For this tutorial post, I’m going to focus on how to import email addresses to a list which you can use to blast out emails later on. So get ready your database and let’s start with the first step.

Step 1: Log on to to login to your account. The page above will appear on your browser screen.

Step 2: Key in the account details you received from EBuzzzz Marketing Team. Normally the username would be numeric. Click Login when you are done.

Step 3: This is your dashboard. After you logged in, you will appear on this page where you have full control of your email marketing plans.

Step 4: We are going to import your database into lists which you can use to blast out emails later. Go to Lists and click on Manage Lists.

Step 5: You will be able to see the lists you have available. For new users, there will be no lists on your account. So here’s how to create one. Click on Add to start.

Step 6: Name your list. For example, I am creating a list for all RunNat participants for 2010. So I label my list as RunNat2010 Participants. Labeling is important so that you can identify which database when you are blasting emails later. Click on Add to continue.

Step 7: A notice will pop up after you previous step. So you have named your list. The next thing to do is to fill the list with email addresses from your database. Email addresses is known as Subscribers on this platform. Click on Add Subscriber to do that.

Step 8: Now select the list which you have created earlier. And choose your email settings for the list such as autoresponder options and import settings. There are 2 ways to import your database. You can either upload an excel file or copy/paste your data into the section provided. When you are done, click on Import to continue.

Step 9: This is the final step to importing subscribers to your list. Set the options you need and click Import to complete the process.

Step 10: And you are done! Now, you have a list with subscribers that you can blast emails to.

I hope you find this tutorial useful, especially for those of you who don’t have a communication team to handle your email marketing strategies. To save more money, you can actually manage email marketing on your own with the help of this tutorial. Let me know if you have any questions, I’ll be glad to assist the best I can.
